Bears are the latest rage in East River St. Mary's!! There are up 8 bears seen at once in the corn field behind Zion. I haven't been able to get any good photos.(Trust me when I say that the black blob is a bear :) It has become a community event watching them each evening! (Both sides of the road are usually lined with cars.)
They even made the ATV evening news :) Dan MacIntosh came out and interviewed Luke Kaley and Roseanna Greene, and took some footage of the area. The bears didn't co-operate, I guess they weren't interested in being celebrities.
There is a drawback to having these critters visit, they have been doing a lot of damage in Valley View Cemetery, knocked over a headstone and tore up lots of flowers.
